"Archipelago" Blanket

A commission for the first 'Local Heroes' exhibition, at Edinburgh airport, in 2016. Features a particularly fine fabric, being knitted in a 'net' jacquard, so areas of solid colour in the design create pockets in the fabric, between the layers of knit, and make for a subtle quilted effect.

"St Ives" Blanket in Coral + Kelp

This composition was initially inspired by artworks in the Pier Art Centre's permanent collection, by Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth.

The piece was also the result of countless explorative colour studies. The colours used are intended to evoke the unusually strong colours of mid-century Welsh tapestry blankets.

"Aspund" Blanket in Rust + Birch

Inspired by the proportions of Nordic classicist architectural facades, such as those by Erik Gunnar Asplund. It is a study in proportion and the mixing of colour.

"Beacon" Hat in Rowan

A 4ply chunky ribbed hat with a distinctive peaked silhouette.

"Basket" Circle Scarf in Ink, Haar + Coral

Uses a heavier gauge of knitting than most of our pieces, and features an unusual construction: because this style of scarf is effectively draped sideways, we knitted this piece with a structure which is weaker horizontally, allowing the scarf to drape more gently.
