Feather Vase

This vase has been etched and engraved with a feather image wrapped around the surface. The vase was designed from drawings of feathers which were important to me when my son died in a fatal road accident.

It was shown at Collect in 2018.

Shetland Vase

This piece was commissioned by the Goldsmiths' Company, London.

The surface has been etched and engraved, then enamelled.

Source drawings were of birds against the cliffs in Shetland.

This piece was featured in The Silversmiths' Art Exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland. It is in the Goldsmiths Collection, London.

Bird Brooches

Silver and enamel brooches with bird imagery in fine gold and silver detail.

The foil has been fired into the layers of transparent enamel.

These pieces were developed from drawings of birds in the Zoo.

Plique a Jour Necklace

This 18ct gold necklace was inspired following a visit to the Cheapside Hoard exhibition in the Museum of London.

Plique a jour is a beautiful,but challenging enamel technique where the enamel is fired within a cell; it allows the light to pass through, similar to stained glass work.

Beaker

This beaker was a special commission for a customer who asked for a design of Oak leaves and Hornbeam.

After the original watercolour designs were approved, Ienamelled the details onto the silver beaker.
