The Scottish Gallery

The Scottish Gallery is the oldest privately owned, commercial gallery in Scotland and celebrates its 175th anniversary in 2017. Alongside a fine art programme, The Gallery specialises in celebrating contemporary objects; making the experience of coming through the door an odyssey of discovery. Contemporary objects form part of a comprehensive programme of innovative and diverse monthly exhibitions; covering a wide range of disciplines such as ceramics, glass, jewellery, metalwork, sculpture and textiles.  The Gallery champions some of the most remarkable work in each field, from Scotland, the UK and the rest of the world. Maintaining a careful balance of emerging, established and senior talents, the Gallery champions opposing and contrasting craft practices, from traditional craft to more narrative and conceptual work.
