Custom Lane

Custom Lane is the new collaborative centre for design and making in Leith developed by GRAS.

The building comprises of studio/workspace, retail, exhibition and events space, a café and a community workshop.

The gallery operates a core and partner programme of exhibitions showcasing design in all its forms. We curate a selection of exhibitions aimed at showcasing contemporary local design and providing a platform for emerging as well as established designers as well as showcasing independent exhibitions.

The focus of the building is to establish a focal point for dialogues around design and design-led making.

We aim to create opportunities for inspiration, support and collaboration between designers and makers within the community as well as celebrating emerging world class design and making in Scotland on an international level.
