This piece is what remains of a photography project to document what happens when a piece of stone is carved and re-carved over a long period of time, to see what happens with no design or particular outcome in mind.

Crest for Marchmont makers and creators studios

The commission was to create a new crest which would become symbolic for the new creative spaces at Marchmont. The blank stone already existed on the building, and it had to be carved in situ.
