I'm a French Knitwear and Textile Designer living and working on the beautiful remote Scottish island of Fair Isle.Using the traditional techniques of Fair Isle knitting, I've created a distinctive knitwear collection, Lea x Sea, now available to buy online. My work embraces the authentic style of Fair Isle but with a modern twist. Each piece is made individually, hand crafted on vintage knitting machine and finished by hand. I work from my lovely croft house on the island. Within each garment you will find the colours and patterns of the place I love. This knitwear is made to last, designed to be adored.Alongside my knitwear collection, I offer a bespoke service that allows the customer to specify their own colours and details to completely personalize garment that will last them a life time. With my French textile college training and a strong background in art and design, I also continue to develop my ideas and my craft through ambitious pieces that express my ideas as a maker and push the boundaries of the traditions of Fair Isle knitting.Everything is knitted in locally produced 100% Shetland wool, spun and dyed on the Shetland mainland.
