Eliza Kesuma is a printed textiles designer/ maker and educator specializing in meticulously crafted hand-printed wallpaper, fabrics, and interior accessories under the name Moody Monday. She’s also involved in many other projects involving graphics, patterns and surface design.
In her creative universe, she loves making the connections between objects and subjects that are unconventionally meant for each other and see what new wonders would exist in the world from that exploration, like an alchemist. Challenging what ‘beauty’ really means in relation to the chosen subject matter and how it resonates with the eye of the beholder.
Prior to starting her business and setting up her design studio, Moody Monday in 2010, she’s worked in the commercial sector at various design studios, whilst developing her own design and exhibition practice. She has since successfully completed a number of private design commissions, and secured a number of specialist stockists across the UK.
She has showcased her work at exhibitions and trade shows around the world, including 100% Design and Decorex in London, ICFF in New York and MoOD in Brussels. Her work has garnered press and media coverage in the London Evening Standard, Homes & Gardens, Grand Designs, Detail and The Scotsman.
