In the first webinar, Kirsty Thomas spoke about how she set up Tom Pigeon in 2014 and went on to work with galleries and design stores around the world, collaborating with clients while creating the Tom Pigeon collection.

In this last webinar, Angus Ross retraced the evolution of his award-winning furniture studio, from its creation in 1992 to its most recent work. Angus talked about working to commission for private and public clients while still producing a small range of micro-batch produced stools, chairs and tables.

Residential COMPASS: Residential 2020

Rescheduled due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) - new dates to be confirmed.

Craft Scotland’s COMPASS: Residential, held at Hospitalfield in Arbroath, is designed to allow makers the time and space to develop their business thinking and their craft practice.  

This five-day residential will provide a dynamic and immersive learning environment with an emphasis on peer support, collaboration and creativity. Utilising the building blocks from the one-day workshops, along with new sessions, Craft Scotland will encourage the makers to challenge their thought process in a supportive environment.

Residential COMPASS: True North Residential 2020

Rescheduled due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) - new dates to be confirmed.

The group will reconvene to share their learnings from the past months and create their new roadmaps for the future of their practice. This session is specifically designed to allow the makers the time and space to reaffirm their guiding values.
