Craft Scotland is delighted to confirm that we will remain within Creative Scotland’s portfolio of Regularly Funded Organisations (RFO). A further round of three-year funding will support key strands of Craft Scotland’s long-term strategy as the national development agency for craft. For 2018 to 2021, Craft Scotland will receive a total £1,000,000 in revenue funding over these three financial years.
We value Creative Scotland’s positive recognition and support for Craft Scotland’s important role in makers’ professional development and the growth of diverse audiences and participants in craft.
Through our programme of exhibitions, events, outreach and engagement work, and digital services we champion diverse and high-quality contemporary craft. We will continue to put makers at the heart of all we do and help people learn about, appreciate and buy craft.
To continue to develop our ambitious programme for the craft community we will build on their vital core funding by generating additional funds through new revenue streams and fundraising.
We are now delighted to announce more details of our 2018/19 programme.

Outreach & Engagement
All year round
Our Outreach programme started life as Meet Your Maker and has evolved thanks to feedback from participants, makers and partners. We aim to highlight how meaningful craft can be to communities, research has shown that craft contributes to individuals’ well-being, health and quality of life. We want to bring these benefits to those who might not normally have the opportunity to be involved in craft.
We think it’s important that anyone can appreciate and participate in high-quality craft projects. Craft Scotland is working with multiple partners on a series of meaningful workshops, including; the Living Memory Association, Fife Contemporary, National Museums Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland, and Glasgow Women's Library in association with Panel.
