"Rani Collection" - Jumper

New product design range launching 2020. Rani collection based on ideas of home, immigration, migration, and place. Design conceived and developed using polymer plate printmaking processes. Experimenting with innovative ways of incorporating contemporary fair isle and lace. Collection comprises six separate wearable pieces.

"Hoswick Paint Collection" - Jumper

Product design range (8 pieces in 2 colour ways) inspired by ideas of place. Design developed through personal sketches in my village which were then printed using a gum arabic process onto glass tiles. This imagery was then transferred to knitwear.

"Byre Collection" - Cape

Collection commissioned (7 pieces) by BULLSEYE GLASS. Knitwear designed in response to artist Karlyn Sutherland's glass exhibition in The Byre, Latheron. Launched at BeCon in Portland Oregon, this collection was later exhibited at Collect 2018 where it was shown as contemporary (wearable) art.

"Ebbstanes Collection" - Triangle Jumper. 10 pieces, one off colour ways.

By ‘drawing’ with wool Ebb-stanes, explores the meaning and use of line, both natural and man-made. Suggestions of paths, boundaries and contours are created through a simple line, wandering across a pattern inspired by Shetland’s landscape.

Ebb-stanes are pebbles revealed by a receding tide—a shifting, natural borderline.

"Marlet Collection" - Wrap. 14 pieces one off colour ways

Based on ideas of camouflage ie the art of being seen or unseen. This collection was developed to reflect ideas of the relationship between our own confidences and insecurities. Knitwear provides safety and security in an otherwise difficult world.
