Tablet+HAAR is a surface pattern and textile design studio - specialising in hand screen printed products, working mostly on natural linen and felt using environmentally friendly water-based inks. Inspired by the coastal landscape of the beautiful East Neuk and her cut flower garden, Katie has a passion for vibrant colour. She is particularly motivated by the many applications of pattern design in our living environment and how it can be used to enhance and enrich it. Work includes large limited edition printed wall hangings, along with products for the home including cushions, lampshades, storage baskets, eye pillows and fine art prints. She also has a small range of items that are batch produced with carefully chosen partners comprising serving mats, tea towels and notebooks. She also works to commission creating bespoke wall hangings for clients, working closely with them colour matching her designs to their interiors.Katie named her studio after two of her great loves: the haar – which rolls in land creating a mysterious atmosphere that she finds inspiring and Scottish tablet, which makes her teeth ache but just one square inch keeps her pulling screens for hours
