Kynance

This ‘Kynance’ quilt is part of the first series of quilts I have made in the spring of 2020. It evolved naturally when I combined fabrics from a piece of my printed pattern and a yellow 100% linen shirt.

Bella

This ‘Bella’ quilt was made as a special commission as a gift for a lovely family expecting a new arrival. It is pieced together using high quality cotton and linen from a British mill, woodblock printed with Soil Association organic inks and hand stitched using Japanese sashiko thread.

Ayr

One of the largest of this first series of quilts I have made in the spring of 2020. The Ayr quilt is centres around a length of printed fabric from my graduate collection alongside two types of salvaged cotton: one is an ex-ministry disaster stores cotton sheet from the 1950's (unused!)

Gwithian

The Gwithian quilt began with a woodblock printed colour swatch sample from my graduate collection. I loved the combination of these colours and the natural Scottish linen and worked at creating a composition to balance the two.

Rinsey

The largest quilt in this series the Rinsey quilt uses snippets of a woodblock printed linen with pure white Scottish linen and cotton fragments
