Jen Cunningham Jewellery

Jen’s crisp bold jewellery is inspired by landscapes and the compelling call to, and connection with, the mountains.

The summits, battered by salty air and ever changing weather, in rural Ayrshire prompted her to capture accurate representations of their peaks. A practice she has been honing since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee in 2007.Utilising her refined sawing skills, she layers silver and often gold, combined with contrasting textures to create landscapes in miniature.

She encourages clients to share stories and commission their own favourite place. Recently completing cufflinks of St Lucia in the Caribbean; wedding rings featuring Golden, Canada; a necklace highlighting Jerusalem and cufflinks featuring Table mountain South Africa.

Since 2017 Jen has been more ethical and responsible in her material sourcing, inspired by the first ethical jewellery symposium in Dundee. She went on to speak at the event in 2018 about her journey so far becoming a more ethical jeweller. In 2019 she was able to buy her first Fairtrade gold for a client’s wedding rings.
