Bushel Log Basket

Demo basket I made for teaching with the Basketmakers Association this Autumn. Uses homegrown willows in the sides to provide colours (students love), different weaves on the sides for students to try. It uses larger willows and traditional dimensions and techniques, part of the draw of me teaching this basket.

Laundry Baskets 'Traditional Twist'

Inspired by traditional laundry baskets for wet washing, with added colour from my homegrown 'Bleu' willow, which makes such a great contrast with the white willow. Made with underfoot oval bases, very strong and traditional and technically hard, but more lengthy yet easier side weaving for the colour contrast.

Harvest Baskets using Organically Grown Willows

Commission for smallholders. Unique for a fairly traditional (well deigned by myself in terms of size but traditional methods) basket to be made in hand harvested organic willow.

Nut Basket using Organically Grown Willows

A piece designed to use up the tiny pieces of willow from your own harvest that you would not normally use in traditional basketmaking, and which are too small to be commercially available, but fantastic colour combos can be used. It is a great piece to teach as an intro.
