There are two sides to my practice. Most of the time you can find me in my Glasgow studio making bespoke jewellery in precious metals and stones. My wedding and engagement ring designs focus on texture and natural forms as a twist on more traditional styles. I also have a core collection of fun and colourful pieces inspired by insects.I have been fascinated with insects since childhood and this interest stuck with me during my time studying Jewellery & Silversmithing at Glasgow School of Art. My final degree show in 2013 was a collection of enamelled pieces inspired by beetles and both these aspects still feature heavily in my work. My designs always start on paper with continuous line drawings. I combine traditional powder enamel alongside industrial enamel techniques to transfer my fluid drawing style directly onto the metal. My work is not about following trends but creating exciting jewellery that can be cherished for many years to come. I'm currently taking part in the Craft Scotland Compass Programme for Emerging Makers.
